Categories

· According to the adopted production process, forging equipment can be divided into forming hammer, mechanical press and hydraulic press, as well as auxiliary equipment such as uncoiler, straightener, shears, shears and forging operators.

· According to the size of the metal blank deformation area, the forging equipment can be divided into two categories: integral forming equipment and local forming equipment.

Integral forming equipment refers to the whole blank for one or more strikes (pressing) to form the workpiece forming equipment, the movement of the slider hammer head is mostly linear reciprocating motion, so it is also known as linear forming equipment. Integral forming equipment can be divided into three categories according to the geometry of the processing blank: volume forming equipment, sheet metal forming equipment and powder forming equipment. The blank processed by volume forming equipment is block material, thick sheet material or bar material, the whole blank produces a large plastic deformation, the shape and cross-sectional area have a great change, the ratio of surface area and volume of the blank after production significantly increases, the corresponding process has die forging, extrusion, etc., the corresponding equipment has hot die forging press, extrusion press, etc. The blank processed by sheet forming equipment is sheet material, strip material or strip material. When pressing, the local material has a large plastic deformation, and the shape of the whole blank changes significantly after pressing, while the thickness generally changes little. This kind of deformation is often accompanied by elastic recovery phenomenon, the corresponding process such as bending, drawing, the corresponding equipment has sheet metal bending machine, drawing press and so on. The blank processed by powder forming equipment is powder, which not only has plastic deformation during pressing, but also produces compaction, which can reduce the porosity between powder and improve the relative density. The corresponding process is powder forging, powder extrusion, etc., and the corresponding equipment is spiral press, mechanical press and hydraulic press. Local continuous forming equipment refers to the continuous local sequential pressing of blank and finally forming the workpiece forming equipment. This kind of equipment continuously causes plastic deformation of blank parts, and finally makes the whole blank go through the deformation stage, so as to obtain the required workpiece. The corresponding equipment includes roll forging machine, wedge rolling mill, rotary forging machine and spinning machine. In the process of processing the workpiece with this type of equipment, or the mold rotates and the billet moves in a straight line, or the billet rotates and the mold moves in a straight line, or the mold and the billet rotate, so this type of equipment is also collectively referred to as rotary forming equipment, such as rotary rolling machine and roll forging machine.

· According to the mechanical transmission characteristics of the forging equipment (which also reflects the type of transmission medium), the forging equipment can be divided into the following three categories: hydraulic transmission equipment, pneumatic transmission equipment and motor driven equipment. However, in industrial practice, forging equipment is often classified according to the characteristics of load, energy, stroke, forging equipment is divided into the following three categories:

(1) The maximum force of the equipment is determined, the ability to complete the process is mainly limited by the maximum load, and the transmission medium is usually a liquid, such as a hydraulic press.

(2) Energy limit equipment The energy output of each strike is adjusted in advance, and the ability to complete the process depends on the energy released by the actuator when the strike, and the transmission medium is usually steam or air, such as the forging hammer.

(3) The stroke of the device is determined, the ability to complete the process varies according to the stroke position, and the transmission medium is usually mechanical parts such as belts or gears, such as mechanical presses (commonly known as crank presses).
